THE TOCCOA RECORD
Toccoa Falls College president Dr. Robert Myers on Tuesday updated Toccoa Rotarians on the status of the institution.
Myers said the college currently has 200 full time employees and many more part time employees.
Admission to TFC this year was 2,109 students up from 806 in 2012.
The college currently has 800 students that attend classes on campus and the rest are online. The online student body comes from several states, but primarily from Georgia, he said.
Toccoa Falls just graduated some 200 students during the 2023 commencement ceremony.
The college offers 30 majors, 40 minors, and three masters programs are available, he said.
The school offers 50 percent off tuition prices for all active full time first responders and 20 percent off to the graduate programs.
TFC currently sports 13 bachelors programs, three Associate programs and all but one masters program offered online, Myers said.
For the 10th consecutive year the college’s audits came back clean and the same is expected for the upcoming year, he said.
Myers has been president of TFC for 12 years and involved in Christian higher education for some 20 years.
He is also a retired Maryland police officer where he served for 12 years.
During the summer when students are not on campus, Myers said the college is taking the time to fix any issues and work on the $4.2 million first phase of the Forest Building which The Record reported on earlier this year.
